Every now and then Titia and I sign up for a workshop. Because we enjoy making something ourselves, but also because we would like to get to know a technique or material better for our work. When developing products, it helps us to better understand what you can or cannot do with certain materials. Last year we attended a porcelain workshop at Harmen en Elke. And tomorrow, a workshop on old photography techniques Robert Broos.
At the Ambiente we got inspiration for our next workshop.
At Glaslabor, a project of the Hochschule der Bildende Künste in Saar, we saw the results of a glassblowing workshop. In this project, students have made a combination of old glass blowing techniques with digital elements. The result was special, and made us enthusiastic to do a 'glass' workshop!
The question is, where could we attend a glassblowing workshop? Titia already suggested: probably in Leerdam. But maybe one of you has a good tip? We would love to hear that from you!
